The late Porn Star Trinity Loren was not
your average, everyday, run-of-the-mill porn starlet. She staked her
claim on 1980's stardom as one of the first true video vixens, a girl
quite comfortable churning out the one-day, low budget sexfests that
began to flood the market in the early and mid 80's. Trinity Loren's
initial claim to fame was her enormous chest, twin mammarial wonders
that reportedly weighed upwards of seven pounds . Once you got past the
bra-busting boobs, though, Trinity Loren was a truly unique sexual
performer. She was a bit thicker than most porn starlets, with wide
shoulders and a broad, round, jiggly butt that took many a ribald
pounding. Facially, Trinity Loren had the nasty, knowing look of an
over-sexed Italian housewife, a look that said, 'I know what I want, and
you're gonna give it to me.'
Trinity Loren was extremely at ease in
front of the camera, exuding a natural eroticism and a fresh, witty
personality as if she were just at home in her own living room. You
never got the sense that Trinity Loren was acting, especially during her
always torrid sex scenes, where she could throw her body around with an
enthusiasm and athleticism remarkable for a woman her size. Trinity
Loren made her biggest impact on the scene as star of many of the first
wave of big-breast specialty tapes, established herself as the queen of
the sweater-straining sex stars in films like 'Bright Lights, Big
Titties' and 'Beneath the Valley of the Ultra Milkmaids.' One of Trinity
Loren's hottest scenes can be found in 'Anal Analysis,' where she turns
in one of her most over-the-top romps ever.
"I saw her several months before she died.
She looked bloated and drugged. Horrible. And she was with her daughter
Tess."
"She was the most depressed person I ever
knew," says another source.
Loren's final years were characterized by
broken friendships. "We had a rift," say person after person who knew
the ex-porn star.
Roxanne last lived in Todd Bridges old
home in Sun Valley.
Writes James Davenport: "I was saddened by
the death of Roxanne. She died from an overdose of sleeping pills. She
dated one of my good friends, an attorney, for a couple of years when
she lived in Houston and it was one of the happiest times of her life.
She wasn't Trinity here, she was Roxanne.
"I was a little surprised to see your
supportive comments about her ex-husband as he put her through hell. She
fought him tooth and nail for custody. After getting her into x-rated
films and on drugs, he tried to use those things to prove she was an
unfit mother.
"You are right though that she loved Tess
so much. She came to Houston to build a new life and start fresh. Then
her ex-husband tracked her down and used the courts to force her back to
California with Tess. Now she is dead and he wants people to contribute
money so he can raise her daughter. Her real friends who knew her laugh,
her gentle side and her deep beauty will long miss her. In Houston she
was off drugs and doing well - her ex-husband doesn't deserve our
sympathy or support, Tess does."
Trinity is the ex-wife of Barry Woods who
used to perform in front of the camera under the name Shane Hunter. They
had a painful breakup seven years ago, shortly after the birth of their
daughter Tess.
Loren lived alone in Burbank with her
daughter and was working on a book about her life. She'd been taking
anti-depressants for years to deal with her seizures. Her friends
thought she'd conquered her drug problems.
Amber: "My appearance has changed for the
better. I've put on about 15 pounds. I was really thin before. I looked
like a drug addict. I wasn't. I've had braces. I now have long brownish
red hair.
"I'm Irish, Italian and American Indian.
"I met Trinity in the business in 1990. We
were best friends. I'd stay at her house. She was a beautiful person
inside and out. She was caring. She was there for people. If I ever
needed a baby sitter, she'd pick up my daughter and let her spend the
night. She was very close to her little girl. They were always hugging
and affectionate...
"I'm in shock [over Loren's passing]. It
still hasn't gotten to me yet. I can't believe it.
Sharon Mitchell frequently stripped in
clubs with Loren. "It was a decadent time. We had just finished a
Saturday afternoon matinee show [late '80s]. It'd been a good tipping
day and we were bored. We looked at each other and said, 'f--- it, let's
go shopping.' We went up and down Walnut Street in Philadelphia and we
bought everything. She had that blonde hair and big tits and she bought
all these thigh-high Gold Lemay boots. We spent all our money.
"I rented a guest house from Trinity when
she and Barry lived in Van Nuys. She always had openness in her heart
for me. We had a rift in our relationship two years ago. I inherited her
bird Boo."
"The private life of a performer is often
very different from their onscreen personas. We can't make judgments
about Roxanne's life, but we do know that Trinity left her mark on her
fans. That is why we still appreciate and remember her.
We also hope that the
book about her life that Roxanne was working on will eventually be
published in some form. A fan, who is a professional editor, is willing
to compile and edit her book free of charge. It is very premature to
say what will happen with this venture, but I and Trinity's other fans
sincerely hope that her book can be published and serve as another
testament. Several fans, including myself, have expressed interest in
contributing to a trust fund for Roxanne's daughter, should one be set
up. We would prefer that it be connected to a financial institution in
some way, but the bottom line is that we want to help make Tess' future
a little more secure."
